Zeta potential measurement device "MARK 2"

A measuring device that can measure while distinguishing differences in the shape and size of particles.

The "MARK 2" is a device that measures water-based and non-water-based colloidal particles using microscopic electrophoresis, distinguishing differences in particle shape and size. By adopting a vertical quartz cell, it can also measure heavy and large particles that tend to settle. Additionally, using a rotating prism system allows for the average electrophoretic velocity of the entire particle group in the field of view to be measured in just a few seconds. 【Features】 ■ Measures water-based and non-water-based colloidal particles while distinguishing differences in shape and size ■ Measurement using microscopic electrophoresis ■ Capable of measuring heavy and large particles that tend to settle ■ Average electrophoretic velocity of the entire particle group can be measured in a few seconds *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

High Concentration Zeta Potential Measurement Device using Electric Acoustic Method - ZetaProbe

Automatically measure the zeta potential of high-concentration colloidal particles in their original solution. The isoelectric point is also measured automatically.

In ZetaProbe, an alternating voltage is applied to the solution, and the zeta potential is measured from the ESA signal generated by the vibrations of colloidal particles. In high-concentration colloidal solutions, light cannot penetrate, making measurements using optical methods difficult; however, the electroacoustic method uses sound waves, allowing for the measurement of zeta potential even in more concentrated solutions. There is no need to worry about changes in electrolyte concentration or pH due to dilution. 【Features】 - Compatible with high-concentration and high-viscosity samples, allowing measurements in the original solution. - High-precision measurements possible using electroacoustic methods and multi-frequency analysis [patent obtained]. - Accurate zeta potential measurements can be made. → Signals from ions similar to those from particles are removed through background correction. - Parameters can be changed later for re-analysis. - An automatic titration system necessary for isoelectric point measurements is standard equipment. Zeta potential meter WALLIS

Particles in the solution are surrounded by an electric double layer (EDL) that characterizes the inter-particle interactions.

The measurement of zeta potential is directly related to the charged environment of particles and provides information about dispersion stability. This is widely used for chemical synthesis and particle functionalization. In the design of dip cells, sample preparation has become simple and easy, preventing the formation of bubbles. It is compatible with standard cuvette cells and has made various materials available, such as polystyrene, glass, or quartz, which are fully compatible with organic solvents. The innovative glass carbon electrode has been made long-lasting, and non-oxidizing electrodes can be easily cleaned with standard treatments such as ultrasonic baths or acid-base cleaning. WALLIS has optimized the dip cell electrode design to prevent artifacts like the electrokinetic effect caused by suppressive solvents that induce displacement along the walls of the cuvette. As a result, software correction for measurement signals is not necessary.
